Artsakh Defense Army Inflicts Heavy Damage on Enemy, Says David Babayan
David Babayan, the advisor on foreign relations to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, stated during a conversation with the news outlet 168 that fierce battles are ongoing in Artsakh and have continued throughout the night.
“The Artsakh Defense Army has inflicted heavy damage on the enemy—tangible damage. The enemy has suffered numerous casualties, both in personnel and military equipment. Our artillery has been working all night and has been very effective. People have heard our artillery work, which is very inspiring,” noted David Babayan.
Referring to the President of Artsakh's message from yesterday, Babayan emphasized that he can say only one thing: “We must do everything to defend Artsakh, including Shushi, all together. This is the most important thing; I do not want to give qualifiers to the rest. Overall, today we must all focus on one task—fight and defend Artsakh, preserve our statehood, and save ourselves from genocide; this is the most important thing,” concluded David Babayan.
It is noteworthy that on October 29, Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan made an appeal to the entire Armenian nation from Shushi, urging them to join in the self-defense of Artsakh: “Just as in 1992, when our offensive began with the liberation of Shushi, today our offensive is contingent upon the defense of Shushi. The enemy is only a few kilometers away from here—at most 5 km—and their ultimate goal is to capture Shushi, to seize Shushi. As they say, whoever controls Shushi controls Artsakh. I want us to realize this moment, to understand it, and not only in words but also to participate directly in the defense of Shushi,” said Araik Harutyunyan.
