US Embassy Urges Citizens to Exercise Caution When Traveling in Armenia

The US Embassy in Armenia is urging its citizens to exercise caution while traveling in the country.

The embassy has instructed its staff and their families, as well as US citizens, to avoid the following areas: Tavush Province - east of the M4 and M16 highways, north of Dilijan National Park, and extending to the border with Georgia; Gegharkunik Province - east and south of Lake Sevan and east of the M10 highway; and the provinces of Ararat, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik.

The US Embassy will continue to monitor the security situation and provide additional information as necessary.
