Surena Barsheghyan to be awarded the title of 'Hero of Artsakh', his deputies Araik Galstyan and Andranik Mkrtchyan to receive 'Battle Cross' 1st class medals - President of Artsakh

According to my decision, Surena Barsheghyan will be awarded the highest title of 'Hero of Artsakh' for his exceptional services rendered to the Republic of Artsakh in the defense and security of the homeland, as well as for his courage and personal bravery. His deputies, Araik Galstyan and Andranik Mkrtchyan, will receive 'Battle Cross' 1st class medals.

This was announced by the President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan.

“Since September 29, Surena Barsheghyan has been at combat positions with a voluntary detachment. The unit formed in Yerevan, under the command of the chief commander, has become the author of many heroic military operations, repelling the enemy and inflicting significant losses on them. Many of the boys are also nominated for awards. I am proud of you all. Glory and honor to all our defenders of the homeland,” he wrote.
