Law Enforcement Discovers 14 Cases of Illegal Arms Trafficking from Artsakh to Armenia

In recent days, police and NSS services have been conducting various operations around the clock aimed at preventing and uncovering cases of illegal arms trafficking from Artsakh to Armenia.

The police report that simultaneous explanatory work is also ongoing. As a result, the officials of the Main Department of Criminal Police, the Ararat Regional Police Department, and their subordinate units have uncovered 14 such cases in recent days.

Police officers have discovered a total of 11 Kalashnikov rifles with factory serial numbers, 2 shotguns, about a dozen grenades, rifle magazines, more than 800 bullets of different calibers and types, bulletproof vests, hats, a survival knife, and other ammunition in the residences and vehicles of individuals returning from Artsakh.

Dear citizens, during these difficult days, arms and ammunition are necessary only on the battlefield. The police and the National Security Service continue their round-the-clock fight against the disgraceful phenomenon of illegally transferring arms and ammunition from Artsakh to Armenia, which is also condemnable from a criminal law perspective.
