Erdogan and Aliyev Discuss the Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh

The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh today over the phone. This was reported by the Turkish presidential office.

"Ilham Aliyev congratulated Erdogan and the Turkish people on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic," the statement said. "Erdogan assured Aliyev that Turkey will continue to stand by Azerbaijan," Turkish sources report.
