Azerbaijan Relentlessly Rejects Implementation of Ceasefire Agreements: Armenian Foreign Ministry
In the last three days, peaceful settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh have continued to be under attack from various types of Azerbaijani rocket-artillery, strike drones, and bombings by military aircraft. Since the second half of October 28, Stepanakert, Shushi, and Martakert have been constantly targeted. Stepanakert and Martakert have endured the most intense strikes, resulting in immense damage to the civilian population and destruction of civilian infrastructure. Under pandemic conditions, strikes have been carried out against hospitals and other healthcare facilities. There are numerous casualties and injuries.
The Azerbaijani regime's war crimes against the peaceful population are accompanied by the direct involvement of Turkey and international terrorists, aiming to exterminate the Armenian people in Nagorno-Karabakh. Despite calls from the international community and the efforts of the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, Azerbaijan stubbornly refuses to implement the ceasefire agreements and to establish verification mechanisms for maintaining a ceasefire in the conflict zone.
In an effort to realize its genocidal intentions and evade responsibility, Azerbaijan has simultaneously launched a campaign based on falsehoods and fabrications to mislead the international community. The policy of Azerbaijan regarding crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing is doomed to failure and will continue to encounter the determined resistance of the people of Artsakh, who will undertake all necessary measures for self-defense.
