Armenian Foreign Minister Discusses Possibility of Iranian Mediation in Nagorno-Karabakh

The OSCE Minsk Group is the only agreed format for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in an interview with RIA Novosti while addressing the suggestions regarding Iran's mediation in the conflict resolution process.

“Iran is a very important country in our region, and unlike Turkey, it adopts a responsible and constructive stance when it comes to regional security and peace. At the same time, the co-chairs of the Minsk Group are the only internationally agreed format for mediation and negotiations, whose role was reaffirmed in the joint statement of October 10 and subsequent statements on October 17 and 25,” the Armenian Foreign Minister said.
