Turkish Bayraktars Conduct Reconnaissance Flights Near Armenian Border Daily

Turkish Bayraktars are conducting reconnaissance flights near the Armenian border on a daily basis. The areas under observation include Gyumri and the airports of Yerevan. Such active flights by these drones have been noted in Armenian air navigation since September 27.

Simultaneous movement of flying objects has also been recorded from Azerbaijan. "The Bayraktar has flown approximately from near Yevlakh, and these 2 aircraft are from Ganja," said Gevorg Simonian, the technical director of Armenian Air Navigation. The National Security Service’s radio intelligence department has also recorded instructions sent from Turkish airspace to Azerbaijan.

Experts from Armenian Air Navigation and the NSS confirmed, based on audiovisual evidence, that the flying object circling over Erzurum is likely directing Azerbaijani operations. "These aircraft do not enter Nagorno-Karabakh airspace. They operate more than 30-40 kilometers away from it," notes Gevorg Simonian.

The distance between flying objects in Turkish and Azerbaijani territories is between 450 and 500 kilometers. For an experienced pilot, the cooperation plan of the trio is obvious. One of the pilots also points out that coordinates from Bayraktar drones can be relayed to an air command center: "From there, as a result of certain actions, they can be transmitted to the aircraft, which operationalizes their actions, accelerating the execution of that combat task and significantly speeding up combat operations."
