Turkish Attack on Peaceful Armenian Protesters in France Leaves Injured
As previously reported, Armenians in France have once again held a protest. They blocked the A7 highway, which connects Lyon to Marseille. Holding Armenian flags and banners condemning Turkish and Azerbaijani aggression, they chanted slogans in support of Artsakh while waiting for police officers to arrive and present their demands.
The protesters are demanding live coverage from French television channels to make their voices heard.
It has just been reported that local Turks attacked the Armenians with hammers. Police arrived at the scene during the attack, and one of the assailants was apprehended with the help of the Armenians. Emergency services are also on site, and the injured are being transported to hospitals. The road remains closed.
“We were holding a peaceful protest when they came and attacked us with hammers and knives,” said one Armenian protester.
