New Heroes: The Defense Army Awards High Honors to Several Soldiers

The Defense Army of Artsakh has presented military medals and commendations to distinguished soldiers. Following the enemy's active artillery bombardment, its forces, supported by 4 tanks and one engineering vehicle, launched an assault toward one of the Defense Army's positions.

The unit that took up defense in the position, under the command of Captain Nairi Vladimir Abrahamyan, inflicted significant losses on the enemy, forcing them to retreat. During the repulsion of the assault, Captain Abrahamyan was injured. He has been nominated for the 'For Bravery' medal.

Colonel Samvel Slava Grigoryan has been nominated for the 2nd Class 'Battle Cross' medal for his skillful command of troops during combat operations and contributing to the defeat of enemy forces. Colonel Hrayr Vladimir Atoyan will be awarded the 2nd Class 'Battle Cross' for skillfully organizing the combat operations of his unit. Colonel Martin Alavik Jhangiryan has received the same state award for providing technical support to troops in combat conditions.

'For Bravery' medals have been presented to Colonels Karen Ediki Danielyan and Lernik Hamleti Asryan for their precise and systematic work in organizing rear support and psychological assurance of troops.

Colonel Erik Boriki Grigoryan has been nominated for the 2nd Class 'Battle Cross' for effectively leading troops and contributing to the defeat of enemy forces. For destroying 4 enemy UAVs, Senior Lieutenants Ruben Seryozha Khachatryan, Hovik Armen Khachatryan, contract serviceman Ashot Vahram Balayan, and contract serviceman Karen Arthur Grigoryan have been nominated for 'Combat Service' medals.

For providing qualified medical assistance to the wounded under challenging conditions, Major Anahit Yeghishe Asrumyan, Senior Lieutenant Aram Sedraki Keyan, servicemen Hasmik Vitali Dadasyan, Junior Sergeant Aravik Grishayi Shahramanyan, serviceman Manushak Nelson Hayrapetyan, serviceman Sirvard Shura Azizyan, Junior Sergeant Lilit Lavrenti Hayrapetyan, and serviceman Arpine Vladimir Mkrtchyan will receive 'Combat Service' medals. Volunteer surgeon, Senior Lieutenant Norayr Atanesi Mikhayelyan has been nominated for the 'For Bravery' medal.
