BHK Sends Delegation to Moscow

On October 28, a meeting of the political council of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) was held, chaired by BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan. During the meeting, a decision was made to urgently send members of the BHK political council—Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Vahe Enfiajyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly Mikael Melkumyan, Secretary of the BHK faction in the National Assembly Arman Abovyan, and Co-Chair of the BHK Women's Council Luiza Sargsyan—to Moscow, Russia. “Considering the long-standing cooperation between the Prosperous Armenia Party and the ruling United Russia party, BHK President Gagik Tsarukyan has decided to urgently discuss the severe situation created in Artsakh and at the borders of Armenia at the inter-party level with partners. The discussions will address issues related to the war unleashed by the Turkish-Azerbaijani terrorist tandem as well as Turkey's direct involvement in this war and the arming of the Azerbaijani army with international terrorists through Turkey.

Gagik Tsarukyan reiterated that it is essential to restore full relations with the Russian Federation, Armenia's centuries-old friend and natural ally, as Russia is the only guarantor of security in the region. “It is necessary to use all possible means and channels of partnership and diplomacy to urgently achieve a ceasefire and outline solutions to the situation in the shortest possible time,” concluded Gagik Tsarukyan. The delegation will depart for Moscow tomorrow, October 29,” the statement said.
