Azerbaijan Also Uses Turkish Kargu Kamikaze Drones: 'Razminfo'

On October 28, images of the Turkish-made kamikaze KARGU quadcopters, likely taken in Azerbaijan, were published on the Turkish Diavn-i Harp Telegram channel. This was reported by Razminfo.

"Kargu kamikaze drones were first showcased in May 2017 and were provided to Turkey's Special Operations Forces for training purposes in December of the same year. The device is equipped with a laser rangefinder. Its maximum flight range is 5 km, flight duration is approximately 15–30 minutes, maximum speed is 72 km/h, and the flight ceiling is 2.8 km, while the operational ceiling is 500 m.

These drones can operate both individually and in swarms, forming a group of kamikaze drones. As early as this July, there was information about the export of these drones from Turkey, but no specific country was mentioned.

Previously, in April 2019, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov visited the Kargu drone booth during the IDEF-2019 defense industry exhibition in Turkey. Furthermore, in one of the videos published by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense during military operations, footage of the explosion of an object launched by Azerbaijan was visible. There is a possibility that this is an example of the combat use of the Kargu," the media outlet reports.
