Aliyev Declares Readiness to Go to Moscow for Talks with Armenian Prime Minister

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that he is ready to negotiate with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow, but he doubts that Yerevan can engage in constructive work towards resolving the Karabakh conflict, reports INTERFAX.RU.

"I have not received such an invitation (for negotiations in Moscow). I have participated in trilateral meetings of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia multiple times, but since Pashinyan came to power in Armenia, such meetings have not occurred. Those meetings took place with Armenia's previous presidents, and I have never shied away from those meetings," said Aliyev.

He regarded these meetings positively, noting that Russia, as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, plays a special role in resolving the conflict.

Aliyev stated that he is willing to go to Moscow for negotiations with the Armenian Prime Minister, "and as you say, without preconditions."
