A Headquarters Will Be Established in Ukraine to Assist Armenians Affected by Hostilities in Artsakh - David Makaryan

“Ukraine is the homeland for the previous generations of my great Armenian family – a happy parental home. My Ukrainian family on my mother's side has instilled love and patriotism in me. For many of my friends and compatriots, Ukraine has long become a second homeland,” said David Makaryan, the Deputy Minister of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, as reported by AnalitikaUA.net.

“As a public official, I diligently and honestly perform my duties and responsibilities, which include support for the implementation of international projects, particularly the restoration and reintegration of areas affected by war,” he mentioned.

He noted that today, “my Armenian brothers and sisters are in distress.” “My heart is with the people affected by the hostilities in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. My public activities include carrying out the powers of the Deputy Head of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine. The Union is implementing several important projects both in Ukraine and Armenia across various directions – culture, education, sports, history, and more,” the Deputy Minister added.

Makaryan also mentioned that an extraordinary meeting took place under the leadership of Vilen Shatvorian, the president of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, with the participation of regional leaders and deputies of Armenian communities, as well as the Ambassador of Armenia in Ukraine, Tigran Seyranian.

“As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to create a headquarters for the effective coordination of actions, primarily to support Armenians affected by hostilities in Artsakh. We would be grateful to anyone who can help. For this, you should contact the local community of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine in your city. Detailed information can be obtained by calling the following numbers: 0 800 050 33 11; 044 277 91 61,” Makaryan stated.
