Attempts Made to Approach the Armenian Border from the South, But Were Repelled: Defense Ministry Representative
The Defense Ministry representative Artur Hovhannesyan began today’s briefing by discussing the border situation.
“This morning, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continued offensive operations in various directions. At the same time, shelling has been carried out on several settlements. Combat actions occurred in the northern direction with comparatively lighter intensity, while efforts to counter the infiltration of sabotage groups towards certain villages continued, primarily in the forests near the settlements.
Essentially, there is a front established along the Vorotan River. Today, there were also attempts to launch an attack towards Berdzor and approach the Armenian border in the south, but these incursions were repelled. They used artillery and UAVs, but did not succeed,” stated the Defense Ministry representative.
Hovhannesyan noted that, as a rule, the enemy’s sabotage groups are small and lightly armed, and after our units strike, they flee, trying to advance in new directions.
