Azerbaijani Forces Attempt Diversionary Incursions in Upper Askeran Regions

The current situation in the Republic of Artsakh is stable yet tense. Azerbaijani forces are once again targeting the upper regions of Askeran: the villages of Avetaranots, Madatashen, Sghnakh, and Moshkhnahat.

In an interview with Armenpress, Hunan Tadevosyan, an officer from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations, summarized the situation in the populated areas of Artsakh. He stated, "The situation in the republic is currently stable-laden. Tension is maintained in the upper regions of Askeran—Avetaranots, Madatashen, Sghnakh, and Moshkhnahat—due to the enemy's attempts at diversionary reconnaissance incursions, and both our and the enemy's artillery units are operating."

Regarding the Martakert and Martuni areas, Tadevosyan reported that an air alert was declared during the daytime in Martuni due to an unmanned aerial vehicle being spotted in the sky. He also mentioned that the enemy used artillery in the direction of Berdzor. The city of Martuni has been shelled, and military aviation was also employed. As a result of the shelling of the village of Nngi in the Martuni region, three women were injured, and there were also destructions.

According to the representative of the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations, the situation in the capital city of Stepanakert was calm throughout the day.
