Our Defenders Are the Main Protectors of Human Rights: Artsakh Ombudsman

Without a doubt, I must confess that our defenders are the main (if not the only) protectors of human rights for us. This was stated by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, on his Facebook page:

“The need for this confession has arisen because I am frequently asked by our compatriots what the international community thinks, whether they are unwilling to protect our rights, and so on. I tell them that I and many others are putting in every possible effort to present the reality to the international community and urge them to take action. However, unfortunately, various representatives of the international community are either blind, or incapable, or simply indifferent. Therefore, it is essential to understand that our rights are protected as much as our heroes are steadfast on the front lines. Thus, all our efforts should be directed towards strengthening the front and the rear, while relying on the international community is simply an unacceptable escape from reality.
