Azerbaijani Forces Target Upper Askeran Region; UAV Noticed in Stepanakert
Azerbaijani armed forces have targeted the upper Askeran region, including the villages of Avetaranots, Madatashen, Sghnakh, and Moshkhmat. Additionally, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was observed in Stepanakert.
Hunan Tadevosyan, an officer from the information and public relations department of the Artsakh Emergency Situations Ministry, discussed the current situation in Artsakh's settlements with Armenpress.
"An air raid alert was activated in Stepanakert around 17:00, but it ended shortly after. A UAV, most likely for reconnaissance purposes, was seen in the capital's sky, prompting the alert due to security concerns," Tadevosyan noted.
He added that intense battles are currently occurring in the southeastern direction of Artsakh. "The upper Askeran region, including Avetaranots, Madatashen, Sghnakh, and Moshkhmat villages, is under the enemy's fire," Tadevosyan stated.
Regarding the Martakert and Martuni areas, he reported that the situation there is relatively calm. "Occasional gunshots can be heard, but they are not directed at civilian settlements," Tadevosyan concluded.
