The UFC champion in the lightweight division, Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, has held his last fight in the ring against American Justin Gaethje. Nurmagomedov achieved victory in the second round with a chokehold, defending his lightweight championship title for the third time.

“Today was my last fight in the UFC. All I want from the UFC is to take the first place in the rankings, regardless of the weight class. I want to thank my Russian-speaking fans and urge them to remember and care for their parents,” the athlete explained his decision to retire, adding, “I only have one parent left, my mother, and I want to spend more time with her.”

Following Khabib Nurmagomedov's last victorious battle, supporters took to the streets to dance and celebrate his triumph.
