AHAZANG: Part of Funds Stolen from Soldier Donation Box at Chekhov School
At around 1:30 PM, the Arabkir division of the police received a report from Gayané Sarukhanyan, the director of School No. 55 named after A. Chekhov, located on Baghramyan Avenue. She informed that an unidentified person or persons had opened the donation box placed in the school for a soldier from Artsakh and stolen part of the money.
This was reported by Shamshyan.com, as a patrol group from the Arabkir police department arrived at the scene, led by a senior investigator from the investigation department. The police clarified that the theft occurred between October 12 and October 22, with part of the money from the donation box being taken. The stolen amounts were in an envelope.
The Arabkir police department is taking necessary measures to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of this shameful incident.
A student from the school alerted her parent about the incident, who then made a post on social media regarding the situation. User Siranush Bilbulyan specifically wrote: “Those who embezzled even one dram from the money sent to the soldier are traitors and national betrayers. Financial assistance should only be sent to the Armenian All-National Fund, and no intermediary organizations should be trusted. The first picture shows the collected funds, although several classrooms are absent, including our 5/1 class; we have collected money, but the 75000 dram is not on the list. The second shows what has been transferred to the Armenian All-National Fund. Judge for yourselves.”
