US Embassy in Baku Warns Citizens of Potential Terror Threat

The US Embassy in Baku has warned its citizens and foreign nationals about the potential risk of kidnapping and terrorist attacks.

This was stated in a message available on the embassy's official website.

"The US Embassy in Baku has received specific reports regarding the potential kidnapping of American citizens, as well as foreigners, and possible terrorist attacks, including near the J. W. Marriott Absheron hotel and other buildings in Baku. We urge US citizens to exercise maximum caution in areas where Americans and foreigners may gather," the message states.

On October 23, the US Embassy in Turkey had also warned its citizens and foreign nationals about the potential risk of kidnapping and terrorist attacks.
