Trump's Assistant on Outcomes of Meeting with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers
U.S. National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien has stated that there is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during his meetings in Washington with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. This was reported by TASS.
“There is no military solution,” O’Brien highlighted in relation to the results of the meeting with the Azerbaijani minister, as noted on the Twitter page of the White House National Security Council.
According to O’Brien, he emphasized the need for immediate cessation of hostilities and returning to negotiations mediated by the Minsk Group during that conversation, as well as refraining from actions by external forces that could further destabilize the situation.
He also discussed the necessity of a ceasefire and resolving the issue within the Minsk Group framework with the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs. “The U.S. continues to make the most decisive diplomatic efforts at all levels until the conflict is resolved,” O’Brien remarked.
