The Enemy No Longer Holds Air Superiority: Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan
Our army has succeeded in halting the enemy’s advance in recent days, and we have obvious success; they no longer hold air superiority. This was stated by the Hero of Artsakh, Major General Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan in an interview with Tert.am.
“The difficult moments, in my opinion, have passed; now we must await new successes. You know, there were very intense battles; the Azerbaijanis planned to take Lachin in a few days, but we resisted. From the air area, they will be pushed back in a day or two. It is a fight, and we may also have tactical retreats that will be followed by successes. It is a prolonged battle, and we must be prepared for everything; we need to adapt,” he said.
The general noted that we must take into account that Turkey and terrorists are involved, but we have been resisting for about a month now. “Armenia is hindering Turkey from implementing its pan-Turkism idea. Turkey is once again striving for genocide,” he said.
Regarding the letter from Artsakh's President Araik Harutyunyan to the President of the Russian Federation, Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan stated: “Araik Harutyunyan defended Artsakh with a weapon in hand back in 1992; I know him well. I don’t know what the diplomatic perspective was, but at that time he probably deemed it necessary,” he said. According to him, we should have found a common language with the Russians sooner.
As for the possibility of deploying peacekeepers, the general noted that peacekeepers have never played a positive role in any country.
