National Security Service Issues Statement

Dear compatriots,

The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia informs that various advertisements are being posted on platforms such as upwork.com, toptal.com, freelancer.com, as well as other similar services offering or seeking various private services, claiming to be for tourism purposes. These advertisements propose paid work related to conducting filming in certain areas of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh, and dispatching these videos to specific addresses. Moreover, there are also advertisements regarding the sale of mobile phone numbers and social media accounts (mainly from facebook.com) on these platforms.

Studies have revealed that these advertisements contain clear signs indicating an Azerbaijani trace. It is noteworthy that subcontractors working on the same project do not recognize each other, and each is unaware of the work being done by the others. This situation allows the clients to combine the received materials at their discretion and use them in the internet to spread misinformation and form panic around a singular purpose in the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.

Given this situation, we urge the public to refrain from responding to offers to conduct similar audiovisual recordings or sell mobile phone numbers for unknown origin users and clients, as these may be directed by Azerbaijani special services and used for actions harmful to the security of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.
