Mercury Public Affairs Terminates Contract with Turkey

Mercury Public Affairs, a lobbying firm, has terminated its $1 million contract with Turkey. This information was reported by the office of the Armenian National Committee of America.

It was noted that Mercury had provided services to the Turkish-American Council, which is headed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's close associate, Mehmed Yalçındağ.

“We welcome Mercury's decision to end its ties with the Turkish government and its genocidal policies. We hope this decision will serve as an example for other organizations working for or with authoritarian regimes,” said Nora Hovsepian, Chair of the Board of the Armenian National Committee of America, Western Region.

Mercury Public Affairs represents clients such as Microsoft, American Airlines, and Starbucks.
