Enemy Used 'Polonez' Type Missiles Targeting Exclusively Civilian Objects: Artsakh Ombudsman

Azerbaijan has continuously shelled and bombed numerous settlements with missiles and aerial bombs. This was stated during a press conference by the Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan.

Beglaryan noted that Martuni, Martakert cities and their surrounding areas, as well as certain communities in the Hadrut region, have been targeted regularly and intensely. He added that Stepanakert has also been subjected to shelling at certain intervals.

“According to our analysis, yesterday they used Polonez type missiles and exclusively targeted civilian objects, including residential areas, infrastructure facilities, and industrial sites. In particular, some residential houses were damaged, a large gas pipeline was affected, and several industrial facilities sustained damage,” Beglaryan remarked.

He emphasized that the incidents from yesterday are clearly deliberate and targeted attacks, qualifying them entirely as war crimes under the Geneva Conventions. “Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported, but significant material damage has been recorded,” he concluded.
