US Embassy in Turkey Warns of Possible Terrorist Attacks and Kidnappings Against US and Foreign Nationals

The US Embassy in Turkey issued alerts on Friday regarding potential attacks on Americans and other foreigners in the country, temporarily suspending consular services, according to Alarabiya.

"The US mission in Turkey has received credible information about possible terrorist attacks and kidnappings against US citizens and foreign nationals in Istanbul, including the US Consulate General, as well as other potential locations in Turkey," the embassy statement read.

The embassy located in the capital city of Ankara urged American citizens to exercise caution, especially in crowded places. It stated that consular and visa services would be temporarily halted at all US diplomatic missions in Turkey.
