Turkey Talks About Counter-Terrorism but Brings Terrorists to Artsakh: Hayrapetyan

During a discussion at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) regarding the report titled "New Pressures on Political Opposition and Civil Society in Turkey: Urgent Need for Compliance with Council of Europe Standards," I emphasized that it is not surprising that Azerbaijani deputies are more actively defending Turkey than even Turkish deputies, as Azerbaijan is gradually becoming a region of Turkey.

Furthermore, Baku’s dictator, Ilham Aliyev, has clearly stated that Turkey and Azerbaijan seek to address their issues based on ethnic factors. Turkey speaks about counter-terrorism while, at this very moment, it is bringing terrorists into the region—specifically, to Artsakh—to fight against Armenians. I am not saying this; it is reported by international media and various country leaders, providing clear evidence.

Turkey is clearly supporting Azerbaijan not only diplomatically, as claimed, but has also openly declared its readiness to send troops in support of Azerbaijani aggression. Azerbaijan talks about democracy while being ruled by a dictator for 17 years, where the vice president is the president’s wife.

Ultimately, internal and external policies are interconnected, and it is now clear that Turkey plays a destabilizing role in various parts of the world. Today’s instability in the South Caucasus is tomorrow’s instability in Europe.
