Terrorists Present a Serious Threat to Regional Security and Peace, Mnatsakanyan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, told US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker that the war unleashed by Azerbaijan is aimed at the extermination of the indigenous people of Artsakh.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, during today’s meeting, Mnatsakanyan emphasized the direct involvement of Turkey in Azerbaijani aggression, which is manifested both through direct military participation and the transfer of foreign militant terrorists from the Middle East to Azerbaijan. The minister noted that this poses a serious threat to regional security and peace.

“Both sides stressed the need for the immediate implementation of agreements regarding the cessation of hostilities. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia highlighted the unity demonstrated by the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group on this issue. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the agreements of October 10 and 17 and to the establishment of a sustainable ceasefire maintained by verification mechanisms,” the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
