Senator Menendez Proposes Resolutions to Halt Arms Sales to Azerbaijan and Turkey

Senator Bob Menendez has introduced two resolutions in the U.S. Congress calling for an end to arms sales to Turkey and Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Armenian National Committee of America.

“Azerbaijan's ongoing aggression against the Armenian people, with the full support of Turkey, has already resulted in tragic casualties among the civilian population in the region and horrific violations of human rights. The United States cannot continue to provide assistance to Azerbaijan and Turkey in security and arms, as they are increasingly distancing the region from peace,” stated Menendez.

The senator noted that these two resolutions would stop sales to the two governments, which use their security forces to harm innocent people.
