Russia's Foreign Ministry Calls for Immediate Withdrawal of Mercenary Fighters from Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Zone

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Oleg Syromolotov and Armenian Ambassador to Moscow Vardan Toghanyan emphasized on Friday the necessity of the immediate withdrawal of fighters from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

According to the foreign ministry, the parties exchanged views on the ongoing escalation of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

"The unacceptable transfer of militants from illegal armed formations from several countries in the Middle East and North Africa to the region and the urgent need to withdraw them from there was highlighted," the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement reads.
