Police Transitioning to Strengthened Service Due to Coronavirus

The police have continued their operations against the spread of the pandemic even after the beginning of hostilities at our country's borders, despite an expansion of functions and being overloaded with responsibilities.

At the same time, considering the psychological state of the public, the police have refrained from subjecting offenders to administrative liability as much as possible, trusting in the high self-awareness of society and settling for warnings and advisories.

Unfortunately, it turns out that some of our citizens have a misunderstanding about their civic duties and public self-regulation, openly ignoring the adherence to safety rules, which has led to a sharp increase in the number of individuals infected with the coronavirus.

This situation is not only a public health issue but also a matter of national security, as it creates serious problems for already overburdened healthcare facilities.

Such a situation is unacceptable.

The police will transition to a strengthened service regime starting today.

All functions related to the monitoring of anti-epidemic safety rules will be carried out in full scale.

Those who violate safety rules will be subjected to administrative liability without exception, in the form of fines.

We urge citizens to approach the necessity of such actions with understanding and to cooperate with the police in contributing to our victory on this front as well.
