During a press conference held on October 23, the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, stated that this morning, Azerbaijani armed forces continued their offensive operations in various directions along the frontline. In addition to the combat operations on the frontline, different towns in Artsakh, including the city of Martakert and surrounding areas, as well as the city of Berdzor and its adjacent territories, were shelled throughout the day. Three shells fell in the Berdzor region.

“Throughout the day, operations to neutralize Azerbaijani sabotage groups and diversions, which had been conducting infiltration activities especially hot in the areas south of the central front—specifically in Shekher, Jivanik, and surrounding villages—were particularly intense,” Hovhannisyan noted.
