I Want to Ask Our Countrymen a Few Things: Artak Beglaryan

The Ombudsman of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, made a post on his Facebook page stating, "The Azerbaijani side regularly publishes videos and photos showcasing inhumane treatment of Armenian prisoners of war and soldiers' bodies. Undoubtedly, these are the most brutal war crimes and those who commit and encourage such acts must be condemned and punished severely.

Within the framework of the Human Rights Defender's fact-finding mission, we continuously document such incidents and prepare appropriate closed reports, while also forwarding the data to the International Committee of the Red Cross to take measures for the return of prisoners of war and bodies.

However, I would like to ask our compatriots a few things:

  1. Do not spread such materials within Armenian circles, as the purpose of the Azerbaijani side is to negatively affect the sentiments of the Armenian society through these psychological diversions.
  2. Avoid discussing such incidents, especially with those involved in the defense of the Homeland.
  3. Be cautious about what you believe, as false materials, especially from the Syrian war, are sometimes used.

We must not forget that informational-psychological security is one of the main pillars of the security of the Homeland, and the fewer pieces of information from the Azerbaijani information field enter our sphere, the better it will be.
