COVID-19 Testing Price to Decrease, Capping at 15,000 Drams

The head of the RA Competition Protection Commission, Gegham Gevorgyan, met today with the management teams of various laboratories conducting COVID-19 diagnostic testing, including "Prom-Test" LLC's "Armenicum" branch, "Astghik" Medical Center, "Davidyan's Laboratories", "Ecosens" LLC, "Normed" Medical Center, "Sirmed" LLC, "A.B.Med" diagnostic laboratory, "Diagen Plus Surgery" LLC, and "Cytolab" LLC.

According to the Competition Protection Commission, the meeting discussed the current high demand for testing among the population and the pricing of the service. The companies expressed their willingness to reduce the service fee, resulting in a maximum price of 15,000 drams. However, the cost of home visits and individual calls, express tests (with results provided within 1 day), and other additional services are not included in this price.
