Terrorist Groups Can Be a Serious Threat to the Region: Rohani to Erdogan
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rohani, has had a phone conversation with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The official website of the Iranian president reports that during the conversation, Rohani expressed concern about the presence of terrorists near Iran's borders in the Middle East. “Terrorist groups can become a serious threat to the region,” said the Iranian president.
Addressing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the necessity of ensuring security in Iran’s border cities, Rohani stated that their position on this matter is quite clear. “We believe that war is not a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Negotiations will resolve the issue,” concluded Rohani.
