Sotk-Karabakh Highway Closed for Safety Considerations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced that roads in Armenia are passable. However, due to safety concerns for citizens, the Sotk-Karabakh highway is closed.

According to information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is only open for freight transport due to emergency conditions.

Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has confirmed that the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transportation.
