Aliyev Is Not Opposed to Meeting Pashinyan in Moscow
RIA Novosti reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has made a series of statements that can be considered sensational.
In an interview with Nikkei, he stated that he is not opposed to meeting Prime Minister Pashinyan in Moscow. He also does not object to the deployment of peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, although he mentioned that the composition and number should be clearly defined.
Furthermore, Aliyev is not against the idea of the ethnic Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh having national cultural autonomy, but he firmly asserted that he would never allow a referendum on independence.
