New Movement '50 Plus' Launched by the Armenia Fund
The Armenia Fund has initiated a new movement today, called '50 Plus.' It aims to elevate the established Armenia-Diaspora relations during this critical period. This will contribute to the consolidation of pan-Armenian resources and promote a steady influx of financial contributions to Armenia and Artsakh,” said the Fund's Executive Director Haikak Arshamyan.
He added that the movement has rapidly gained traction in diaspora communities, where citizens have called not just for one-time donations but have expressed a desire to register on the Fund’s website for monthly contributions. “Imagine if a million people join this movement; we could receive $50 million every month if each one contributes $50. This way, we could end up with $2.5 billion annually,” Arshamyan noted, emphasizing that the number 50 is not obligatory but rather symbolic.
According to Arshamyan, the utilization of all financial resources will be coordinated with the governments of Armenia and Artsakh, and these funds will be directed towards essential humanitarian efforts. However, he cautioned that, due to the current state of military emergency, even the publication of information about a single pill could jeopardize the overall mission. “Therefore, comprehensive reports will be released after peace is established,” he stated.
