Mike Pompeo Discusses Upcoming Meeting with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has confirmed that he will meet with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, on October 23 in Washington, D.C.

"A complex situation has arisen on the ground; it is a complicated diplomatic scenario. I am preparing to tell the ministers that third countries must stay away from the conflict and not exacerbate the situation by providing any arms. Only a diplomatic solution will be acceptable to everyone. This is what I intend to discuss with the ministers on Friday," the US Secretary of State said during a press briefing in Washington on Wednesday.
