Banks Will Forgive Loans of Fallen Soldiers and Disabled Individuals at Their Discretion

Banks and credit organizations will, at their discretion and not as a requirement, forgive the credit obligations of fallen soldiers and individuals who have acquired disabilities. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan during the discussion of the draft law on amendments to the RA Tax Code in the National Assembly.

"The issue is that it is practically impossible to compel either party. It is about opportunities and favorable conditions, and banks can, at their discretion, forgive credit obligations without tax consequences," said the deputy minister.

According to him, there was a misunderstanding during the first reading of the law today, and many thought that banks would be settling the loans of all fallen soldiers.

It is important to note that the parliament adopted the draft with 75 votes in favor.
