Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian on a Working Visit to Brussels
Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian has today embarked on a working visit to Brussels. The Office of the President of Armenia has announced that discussions are scheduled with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and other senior officials.
The meetings are initiated by President Sarkissian. He plans to discuss issues related to the military aggression launched by Azerbaijan against the Artsakh Republic, which includes Turkey's explicit involvement, as well as instances of Azerbaijani artillery shelling of border settlements in Armenia.
It is expected that the leadership of NATO and European institutions will do everything possible to halt military operations by Azerbaijan and NATO member Turkey, paving the way to implement the agreements reached on a ceasefire.
