The Situation on the Frontline is Tense: Combat Operations Continue
Combat operations continue at the contact line between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, and the situation is tense. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Defense, Artur Hovhannisyan, during a press conference held on October 20.
“Early this morning, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched offensive operations in both northern and southern directions. More intense fighting has occurred in the southern direction, during which our troops have successfully managed to halt several assaults from the enemy and push them back to their initial positions. At this moment, the situation remains tense, and combat operations are ongoing, although not as intensively. Most of the engagements occur mainly during daytime hours,” Hovhannisyan said.
Artur Hovhannisyan noted that air defense units have successfully shot down Azerbaijani drones, including Turkish-made Bayraktar UAVs, which have already been reported.
