Iran to Conduct Large-Scale Air Defense Exercises Starting Tomorrow
Iranian air defense units are preparing for large-scale exercises that will cover more than half of the country's territory. The air defense exercises, codenamed 'Velayat Sky-99', will commence tomorrow, announced the exercise commander.
General Kader Rahimzadeh stated that the drills, which involve military and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps air defense units, aim to enhance combat readiness.
During the upcoming exercises, various domestically produced missile systems, radars, electronic warfare equipment, and communication systems designed to counter aerial threats at low, medium, and high altitudes will be utilized. The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force plans to deploy fighter jets, bombers, and drones during the drills, he added.
