The Diaspora Plays a Crucial Role in the International Recognition of Artsakh: Work Must Continue, Says Aram I
His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, emphasized in his circular letter addressed to the dioceses that the time for the "international recognition of Artsakh" has come. He stated, "Particularly, the Diaspora, with its extensive advocacy and relational capabilities, is called to raise the flag for the recognition of Artsakh. Indeed, any step taken by cities, provinces, and organizations toward recognition can significantly contribute to the international community's recognition of Artsakh's independence."
He urged the appointed bishops and national authorities along with related bodies to work persistently towards the international recognition of Artsakh.
His Holiness also reminded that "with all practical means, we must continue our unwavering and unconditional support for the Armenian army. The Armenian army is our pride, the guarantor of our nation and homeland’s existence; our heroic boys fight day and night on all fronts and are ready to spill their blood for the independence of Artsakh."
The Catholicos also continues to emphasize the importance of the recognition of Artsakh in his relationships with spiritual leaders, inter-church organizations, and other bodies, as stated in Aram I’s circular.
