Statements from Community Leaders in Syunik Should Not Cause Panic, Says Arzrun Hovhannisyan

The representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Arzrun Hovhannisyan, announced that the statements made by the community leaders of Syunik, who are calling for men aged 20 to 60 to enlist for the defense of Syunik, are aimed at ensuring the security of the region.

This was posted by Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.

"Dear compatriots, the statements from the community leaders in Syunik should not cause panic; they are aimed at ensuring the security of the region. The mobilization is proceeding normally, and all conscripts are enlisting. We all need to calmly and confidently fulfill our duty without reservation," wrote Hovhannisyan.

On October 18, the leaders of the communities of Kajaran and Meghri in Syunik called on men aged 20 to 60 to enlist for the defense of Syunik.
