The Enemy Is Sending Orders to Armenian Citizens Under Other People's Names on Various Platforms: Samvel Martirosyan

Media expert Samvel Martirosyan writes on his Facebook page: “Now let's talk about a very important topic. We have already discussed this during the early days of the war, but it has become even more serious now.

The enemy is sending orders to Armenian citizens under other people's names on several platforms where you can order services or find work online, such as UpWork. The proposals vary widely: recording a video of this street, going to the Opera, filming a video and reading some text in Armenian underneath, recording a specific text in Armenian, and other similar tasks.

Essentially, they are solving several issues this way. They collect the information they need while concealing it under the guise of harmless orders. They obtain videos or audio messages in the voice of an Armenian citizen that can be used for fraud and so forth. This can also be used later for blackmail and extortion. For example, they will scare individuals by claiming that they will hand them over to our NSS (National Security Service) as traitors, and based on this false fear, they can manipulate people into deeper control over them.

What conclusions should we draw from all this?
a. Do not undertake such unclear tasks at this moment. For instance, as if for a tourist agency or another harmless organization or program.
b. If you have already done such a thing and have just realized that you might have made a mistake, there is nothing to be afraid of. Contact the law enforcement agencies. You will help them understand what to expect from the enemy. You are not in any danger. Always remember, even if things have already started to go wrong and you find yourself in the enemy's clutches, you can calmly approach law enforcement and you will not face any responsibility in such cases. On the contrary, you will be providing a lot of assistance.”
