According to TolishMedia, Azerbaijani mothers have issued a statement saying: "Azerbaijani mothers. Our sons are sacrificing their lives for the sake of dictatorship and the preservation of Aliyev's corrupt clan. These days, our sons are staring into the eyes of death, fighting for nothing—not to regain our lands, but to maintain Aliyev's power.

Now we have risen up and demand that they answer us why our sons are dying. First and foremost, we must unite against the corrupt authoritarian clan that oppresses us. Where are the bodies of our martyrs? What has our country achieved during these days? What has been gained?

No one answers these questions. Everything is a lie. What does the president of the country say? He states that our casualty figures are a state secret. He hides from us whose son is alive and who has been killed. Our questions must not remain unanswered. Aliyev thinks only about how to maintain his power at the cost of our sons' lives. We must not allow our sons to be sacrificed. It is our duty to demand that Aliyev answers our questions. Let us be united. Nothing should hinder us from toppling the Aliyev clan—a clan that sacrifices our sons' lives and leads us to death," the statement from Azerbaijani mothers said.
