Armenian Prime Minister and Greek Foreign Minister Address Turkey's Destabilizing Policies
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Nikos Dendias, the Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic, and his accompanying delegation today. The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Greek Foreign Minister, emphasizing its importance as strong support for Armenia and the Armenian people during this difficult time.
“Our peoples are united by historical warm relations and shared values. Armenia values the continuous strengthening and development of ties with Greece, which is particularly significant in the current complex regional and geopolitical situation. I would like to express my gratitude to Greece and the Greek people for their support for Armenia and the Armenian people,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister also addressed the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh since September 27, discussing Turkey's explicit involvement and actions that destabilize the region.
Nikos Dendias conveyed warm greetings from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, along with words of support. Dendias noted that a long-standing strong friendship binds the two peoples and countries, affirming that, during this challenging period, Greece and the Greek people stand alongside the Armenian people. He stressed that Greece advocates for an immediate ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, stating that violence is not the solution to the problem.
Dendias condemned external interventions that provoke military actions and supported the calls of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for maintaining the ceasefire and resuming the negotiation process.
The Prime Minister and the Greek Foreign Minister also discussed Turkey's destabilizing expansionist policies manifesting in various regions. Nikol Pashinyan and Nikos Dendias emphasized the unacceptability of such policies and exchanged ideas on joint actions to counter them.
The Prime Minister requested to convey his warm wishes to the Greek Prime Minister. Nikos Dendias delivered an invitation from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for Nikol Pashinyan to visit Greece.
