We Condemn the Shelling of the Hospital by Azerbaijan: Artsakh Foreign Ministry
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding the deliberate shelling of a hospital located in the northeastern part of the Republic of Artsakh by Azerbaijan. The statement specifically mentions:
“We strongly condemn the deliberate shelling of the hospital located in the northeastern part of the Republic of Artsakh by Azerbaijan, where civilian individuals were also receiving treatment. Such gross violations of the laws and customs of war once again demonstrate that the tripartite alliance of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and international terrorists will not shy away from any crime in its pursuit of geopolitics. Azerbaijan, whose actions are sponsored and directed by Turkey, not only refuses to uphold the humanitarian ceasefire but also deliberately expands the scale and geography of aggression. Specifically, on October 14, Azerbaijani-Turkish armed forces struck the territory of the Republic of Armenia, bringing the threats to regional peace and security to a new level.
The criminal actions of the Azerbaijani-Turkish side should be subject to the most severe condemnation and decisive measures to prevent their recurrence in the future. The continued neglect by the international community of the dangers posed by the tripartite alliance of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and international terrorists could have irreversible consequences not only for the South Caucasus but also beyond its borders.
We reiterate that under circumstances where the Azerbaijani authorities, receiving support from Turkey and international terrorists, remain unpunished, have lost their sense of reality, and deliberately torpedo the peace initiatives of the Russian Federation and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs— the only effective means of halting the escalation of violence, saving numerous human lives, and ensuring lasting and stable peace in the region is the international recognition of the independence of the Republic of Artsakh.”
